CEBU CITY—One of Cebu province’s well-loved Church leaders died on Monday, Nov. 4.
Msgr. Esteban Binghay died after a long bout with pneumonia at 12:40 p.m. at the Perpetual Succour Hospital in Cebu City, said Msgr. Joseph Tan, the spokesperson of the archdiocese.
Binghay was 84.
The Balamban town native had been a priest for 57 years.
Binghay served as an episcopal vicar with the taskof overseeing some parishes. He also had been a matrimonial judge and had sent scholars to school.
He had a doctorate in canon music from a school in Rome.
