MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and intermittent rain showers are expected in Metro Manila and other parts of the country due to a trough of a low – pressure area affecting the central and southern parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau said Monday.

In its weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Mindoro provinces.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may also prevail over the Caraga and Davao Region due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
