4.4-magnitude quake shakes Tulunan, Cotabato

MANILA, Philippines — A 4.4 magnitude earthquake hit Tulunan, Cotabato on Sunday afternoon, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Based on its initial earthquake bulletin, state seismologists said the quake hit 22 kilometers (km) southeast of Tulunan, Cotabato at 2:05 p.m.

The earthquake, which was tectonic by origin, has a depth of 12 km.

No aftershocks and significant damage will be expected from the earthquake.
