Pagasa: Cloudy with a chance of rain nationwide on All Saints’ Day

MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies with intermittent rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail nationwide on All Saints’ Day due to a low-pressure area and other factors, the state weather bureau said Friday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the low-pressure area was spotted 240 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 3 a.m.

Hence, the Bicol region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, Pagasa said.

Pagasa added that the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon and rest of Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

The rest of the country, the weather bureau said, would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. /gsg
