DOT offers assistance to tourists, ‘Undas’ travelers

/ 05:15 AM October 31, 2019

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Tourism (DOT) has ordered its main and regional offices to extend assistance to local and foreign guests who are expected to flock to different destinations during the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day weekend.

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said tourists and other travelers may also seek assistance from Malasakit Help Desks (MHDs) in transport hubs throughout the country.

MHDs are part of the Department of Transportation’s Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Undas 2019.

Puyat said the DOT expects this year’s domestic trips nationwide to approximate its 2018 figures when 20 holidays and 13 long weekends were declared. —Jerome Aning
