3 cops jailed for illegal drugs in Maguindanao

MANILA, Philippines –– Three active police officers were arrested for alleged possession of suspected shabu during a joint buy-bust operation in Maguindanao on Wednesday.

A report from the Parang Municipal Police Station identified the arrested suspects as Police Executive Master Sergeant Monger Aradais, 47; Police Staff Sergeant Fahmi Bangon Como, 39; and Patrolman Sandiali Manalao, 35.

Members of the Parang Municipal Police Station, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM), Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, and 14th Regional Mobile Force Battalion conducted the anti-drug operation along Barangay Nituan in Parang at 8:30 a.m.

Suspects were apprehended after an undercover PDEA agent bought shabu from them.

Recovered were 50 grams of suspected shabu and firearms. The rogue policemen were brought to the PDEA-BARMM office. /lzb
