MANILA, Philippines — All vehicles are no longer allowed to enter the Manila North Cemetery starting Wednesday, October 30, until Saturday, November 2, Cemetery Chief Roselle Castañeda said Wednesday.
“Pero may mga e-trikes naman po na pwede sakyan papasok sa loob para sa mga PWD at elderly (But we offer free e-tricycle rides to persons with disabilities and the elderly),” Castañeda told INQUIRER.net.

The free rides are being offered as early as today (Wednesday) even to regular visitors since only about 1,000 have flocked to the public cemetery, Police Lieutenant Noel Villamor, chief of operations of Sta. Cruz Manila Station 3, said.
But during the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on Friday and Saturday, authorities are expecting 1.8 million to 2 million visitors in the 54-hectare Manila North Cemetery, according to Villamor.
Prohibited items
Police have also reminded visitors of the materials prohibited inside the burial ground. These are bladed materials, cigarettes, e-cigarette or vape and lighter, flammable materials like rubbing alcohol and alcoholic drinks, firearms, illegal drugs, drones, gambling materials, perfumes, animals/pets, and loud sound systems.
Cleaning and painting of tombs are also prohibited since Tuesday, while burial services will resume on November 4.
Meanwhile, the Manila Police District Traffic Enforcement Unit advised motorists to stay away from roads near Dangwa flower marker and the Manila North Cemetery to avoid being stuck in heavy traffic especially on Friday.
