According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, of the 152, 668 deaths registered nationwide from January to March, three cities in the National Capital Region figured in the top five.
Quezon City posted the highest number of registered deaths at 4,436 followed by Manila with 3,052; Davao City with 2,564; Caloocan City with 2,330 and Cebu City with 1,770. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
