MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Tuesday clarified that the magnitude 6.6 quake that hit North Cotabato was not an indication of volcanic activity.
In a tweet, Phivolcs explained that the earthquake, as well as the aftershocks following the quake, were due to the movement in an active fault in the area.
