LPA off Palawan may intensify into tropical depression – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area (LPA) off Palawan is likely to develop into a tropical depression within 24 to 36 hours, the state weather bureau said Monday.

As of 10:00 a.m., the LPA was estimated 220 kilometers (km) east southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, the  Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Pagasa said the Bicol region, Mimaropa, Aurora, and Quezon will experience light to moderate with intermittent rains caused by the LPA.
