MANILA, Philippines — The Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) has confirmed that it received anonymous bomb threats online but assured security protocols are already in place and classes and work Monday will push through.
In a statement on Monday, ADMU said its Campus Safety and Mobility Office, alongside the Philippine National Police Quezon City Police District (PNP QCPD) “conducted thorough sweeps of the campus last night and early this morning and found no irregularity.”

The University earlier said it received bomb threats online and assured security protocols were being implemented.
“The University has just received via social media anonymous bomb threats. We are handling the situation using our security protocols,” ADMU said Sunday night in a statement via its official Facebook page.
The university also asked its students, employees and other stakeholders to “stay calm and alert.”
“Be assured that our security protocols are in place. We shall issue updates, as necessary,” it added.
ADMU’s student council Sanggunian ng mga Paaralang Loyola ng Ateneo de Manila announced in its Twitter account classes and work for Monday are not suspended.

“Security has been heightened and stringent protocols are in place starting early this evening. Please stay calm and mindful in processing information in situations like this,” the student council said.
“Classes and work are not called off for tomorrow, October 28, 2019, Monday,” it added. /gsg
