Cop dies in motorbike accident in Occidental Mindoro
CITY OF CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines — A policeman died after the motorcycle after he accidentally crashed his motorcycle into a tree Sunday afternoon in Calintaan town in Occidental Mindoro province, according to the Mimaropa Police Regional Office.
Staff Sgt. Ronald Ani, who was assigned at the Mamburao Municipal Police Station, was on his motorcycle traversing the national highway when the accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. in Sitio Taluto in Barangay Poblacion.
Investigation revealed that, upon reaching the curved portion, Ani miscalculated and collided with an acacia tree on the side of the road.

He was thrown to the ground and sustained injuries on his head and other parts of the body. He died on the spot.
