Oct. 27: La Union Surfing Break
Last day of the annual surfing event in La Union province to be held this year in three towns—San Juan, Bacnotan and Caba.
Now on its 13th year, the beach fiesta was created to promote surfing and La Union as a premier sports and adventure destination.
The event features a music festival, surfboard design competition, kayak race and sand castle building contest.
Oct. 27 to 31: Semana Ti Ar-Aria
The Halloween festivities in the city of Laoag celebrate Ilocos Norte province’s unique practices in remembering the dead.

Residents of Aguilar town in Pangasinan province showcases “ansakket,” or glutinous rice, the municipality’s “one town one product” since 2014, in a weeklong festival.
Activities include a farmers’ day, job fair, talent night and 101 ways of cooking ansakket.
