MANILA, Philippines — End the drug war? Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. says otherwise.
In a tweet on Friday, Locsin reacted to a recent statement made by Vice President Leni Robredo, who said that the Duterte administration’s war on drugs “is not working.”
“How does she know it isn’t working? Is she in touch with… El Chapo? Who else can tell the war’s going well or badly?” Locsin’s tweet read.

This comes as Robredo called on the administration to end its drug war that has killed thousands of Filipinos.
“The President has already made very serious threats to drug syndicates, to drug lords … and yet it’s still very prevalent, so obviously, it’s not working. We have seen a lot of police that have abused their powers and not been penalized,” Robredo earlier told wire news agency Reuters.
