Shabu worth P1.3M seized from Nigerian in Cavite

SAN PEDRO CITY –– The police recovered suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P1.3 million from a Nigerian national in a buy-bust operation in Imus City in Cavite province.

The suspect Leonard Ohaeri, 27, a resident of BF resort subdivision in Las Piñas City in Metro Manila, sold undercover intelligence police P200,000 worth of drugs during the sting operation around 8 a.m. Wednesday in a convenience store in Barangay Bayan Luma 4, a report from the Cavite police office on Thursday said.

During the search and arrest, police found another pack of suspected shabu in a plastic bag.

The police recovered at least 220 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of P1,360,000.

It was not immediately known how long Ohaeri had been living in the country./lzb
