Thursday weather forecast: Cloudy skies with a chance of rain

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience cloudy skies and scattered rain showers due localized thunderstorms, the state weather bureau said Thursday.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned of possible flash floods or landslides inn affected areas.

Pagasa said the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains caused by the northeasterly surface window.

The state weather bureau is also monitoring an active tropical cyclone which remains outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

As of 3:00 a.m., Pagasa said Typhoon Bualoi was 2,120 kilometers (km) northeast of extreme northern Luzon.

Pagasa said it was moving north at 30 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 165 kph and gustiness of up to 205 kph. /gsg
