MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Cotabato province on Wednesday, which the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said is an aftershock of the magnitude 6.3 temblor that hit southern Mindanao on October 16.
According to Phivolcs, the tremor occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers southeast of Tulunan town at 2:45 a.m.
It said Intensity 3 was recorded in Kidapawan City.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Monday that the strong quake had killed seven people and injured 215. /kga
