Grenade found in Makati construction site

MANILA, Philippines — Police recovered a fragmentation hand grenade at a construction site in Makati City on Tuesday afternoon.

The Makati City Police Station received a call from a certain Eduardo Ormatam that an explosive was spotted at a construction site on Lower Azucena Street in Barangay Pembo at 1:20 p.m.

At 2:20 p.m., members of the Explosive Ordnance Division went to the area and conducted a Render Safe Procedure.

Police brought the grenade to headquarters for disposal.
