The younger Go graduated summa cum laude from De La Salle University in Manila and was also a member of the Jose Rizal Honors Society.

In a statement on Tuesday, Senator Go expressed joy with his son’s achievement, saying he was proud of him.

“Nagtaon na pareho kaming top 3 — ako noong nakaraang halalan at siya ngayon naman sa CPA licensure exams (It’s a coincidence that we both landed third — me in the 2019 senatorial elections and himion the CPA licensure exams),” Go said.

“Matapos ang ilang taong pag-aaral, nagbunga din ang sakripisyo.  Bilang isang ama, wala akong ibang hinahangad kundi makitang matagumpay ang aking mga anak (Years of study and sacrifice finally paid off.  As a father, I have no desire but to see my children succeed),” he added.

PRC said only 2,705 out of 14,492 or 14.32% passed the CPA licensure examination./gsg
