SAN PEDRO CITY — A suspected drug pusher was killed in an anti-drug operation in this city, police said Monday.
A report from the regional police office said the buy-bust happened around 11:45 p.m. Sunday along a railroad track in Barangay (village) Nueva.
The suspect Gerry Bao allegedly opened fire when he realized he was dealing with policemen.
Police shot back and hit the suspect, who died in the ambulance on the way to a hospital in this city.
The police recovered a .38 caliber gun and a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth). /je
