MANILA, Philippines — Aftershocks continued to rock parts of Mindanao as another magnitude 4.8 quake hit North Cotabato on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake was recorded at 4:55 p.m., with its epicenter at 25 km southeast of Tulunan town.
The quake was of tectonic origin and had a depth of 1 km.
Intensity V was reported in Koronadal City, Intensity III in Malungon town in Sarangani, and Intensity II in Kiamba town Sarangani.
The quake was an aftershock of the magnitude 6.3 quake that hit North Cotabato and nearby provinces and cities last Oct. 16, Phivolcs said.
