1 dead, 4 injured in Nueva Vizcaya car-van collision
SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya –– A driver died and four others were injured when a passenger van collided with a pick-up car head-on along the national highway here at dawn on Thursday.
Police Cpl. Louie Macaso, Solano police investigator, identified the fatality as pick-up car driver William Tolentino, 59, a resident of Gattaran, Cagayan.
Investigators said Tolentino’s car occupied the opposite lane when it overtook another vehicle before colliding head-on with the approaching van in Barangay Bascaran.

Due to the impact, Tolentino was pinned to death while van driver Wincy Longgat, 26, lost his two legs.
Injured in the accident were Fredison Ancheta, and couple Franklin and Avelina Tagufa./lzb
