MANILA, Philippines — As they celebrate their first wedding anniversary, Senator Aquilino Pimentel III announced on Thursday that he and his wife Kathryna Yu are expecting a baby.
“To my one and only wife Kathryna, as we celebrate one year of wedded bliss, let me thank you for being part of my life. You have changed me. You have changed my life. All for the better!” Pimentel said in a message to Kathryna.
“I have known how beautiful you are, inside and out, even before we got married. But now, I have seen how great and wonderful you are, as a person, a wife, a mother to our two boys, and as a soon-to-be mother again to our third child. Thank you for all the sacrifices you are doing for the baby,” he added.
The couple, who met six years ago at the senator’s victory party for winning in the 2013 elections, tied the knot on October 18 last year.
