SAN PEDRO CITY –– A 15-year-old boy was taken into social welfare services after he allegedly stabbed and killed a neighbor’s child in this city.
City police chief Lt. Col. Zeric Soriano on Thursday withheld the identities of both the suspect and the victim, a seven-year-old girl.
A police report said the incident happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay Cuyab here.
The victim was last seen sitting outside the house of the suspect who invited her “to play” inside, police said.
Soriano said the girl’s family began looking for her after a while, and it was then when “they found the (suspect) cleaning up some blood (stains in the house).”
The girl died while being taken to the hospital due to multiple stab wounds. Police recovered two knives from the scene.
Soriano said they have yet to establish what could have driven the teen to commit the crime./lzb
