MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has reset the posting of the computerized voters list (CVL) for the Dec. 7 plebiscite meant to ratify the renaming of Compostela Valley province to Davao de Oro.
The poll body reset the posting of the CVL from Oct. 8 to Oct. 18 to afford it more time to verify the original CVL.
The Comelec also prescribed the calendar of activities and the period for certain prohibited acts in connection with the plebiscite.
A total of 462,942 voters registered in Compostela Valley in the May 2019 elections. —Tina G. Santos
