No arrests but police uproot, burn marijuana in Tabuk City

At least P70,000 worth of fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted and burned in Tabuk City on Tuesday, Oct. 15, police said.

Lt. Col. Jacob Dangpason, Tabuk City police chief, said the marijuana plants were discovered in a 70-square-meter lot at the village of Nambaran.

Dangpason said no one was arrested during the operation.

Col. Job Russel Balaquit, Kalinga police director, said local communities have been helping anti-narcotics agents in the government’s campaign against illegal drugs. Villamor Visaya Jr./TSB
