Motorcyclist dies after bike slides under passing truck in Lucena
LUCENA CITY –– A motorcycle rider died after his vehicle accidentally slid under a passing mini-truck in Lucena City on Wednesday morning.
A report from the Lucena police said John Marbien de San Juan, 20, was negotiating the Maharlika Highway when his motorcycle accidentally slid in Barangay Ibabang Dupay around 9:45 a.m.
The victim died on the way to the Quezon Medical Center due to grave head and body injuries.

Police identified the truck driver as Julius Himor, an employee of Prime Water. The vehicle was registered to the provincial government of Quezon.
Police said de San Juan was fatally hit by the steel parts under the truck, which was also carrying a water tank./lzb
