Marijuana ‘brick’ seized in Laguna buy bust

SAN PEDRO CITY –– Police recovered a “brick” or at least four kilograms of suspected marijuana worth P80,000 in a buy-bust operation in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

The police also arrested the suspect identified as Renz Marion Lucea, 22.

In a text message Wednesday, Col. Eleazar Matta, Laguna police chief, said the operation happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday in the suspect’s residence in Barangay Pagsawitan.

Matta said Lucea sold to an undercover police officer a sachet of suspected marijuana for P500. When authorities arrested him, police recovered 12 more sachets of the illegal substance and a brick of marijuana./lzb
