MANILA, Philippines – A 4.6-magnitude earthquake jolted North Cotabato on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake struck 12 kilometers (km) southeast of Tulunan, North Cotabato, at 7:55 a.m.
It was recorded at Intensity II and an Instrumental Intensity III in Kidapawan City and Instrumental Intensity I in Tupi, South Cotabato.
The earthquake was of tectonic origin and had a depth of five kilometers.
Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks are expected./gsg
