UPLB grad tops chemist licensure exam

MANILA, Philippines — A University of the Philippines – Los Baños graduate topped the list of passers of the October 2019 chemist licensure examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday.

Andrew Exequiel Sanchez Tabilog was declared as the exam topnotcher after garnering a rating of 92.25%, followed by a fellow UPLB graduate Gerry Mark Saturos Gubantes who scored 89.65%.

PRC said 457 out of 1,085 passed the chemist licensure examination, adding that those who failed to pass the board examination for chemists but had obtained a rating of at least 70% in any two subjects can register as chemical technicians.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals, PRC said.

“The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later,” PRC said.
