MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.1 earthquake hit Zamboanga del Sur on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said in its initial earthquake bulletin that the quake hit 32 kilometers (km) south east of Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur, at 8:48 a.m.
An Intensity II was registered in Cotabato City.
Pagasa said the temblor, which was tectonic in origin, was 14 km deep.
However, no damage or aftershocks could be expected from the quake. /je
