MANILA, Philippines — The local government unit of Manila lifted on Friday its closure order on Isetann Mall in Recto, Manila after the mall management secured the necessary permits and paid tax deficiencies.
In a statement from the Manila Public Information (PIO) Office, Isetann Mall secured all needed permits to “lease space and operate all of its cinemas.”
Isetann’s management also paid tax deficiencies worth P2 million after applying for the city government’s tax amnesty program.
Manila Bureau of Permits chief Levi Facundo already recommended to Manila Mayor Isko Moreno the lifting of the closure order issued against Isetann on Wednesday.
Moreno through his secretary, Bernardito Ang, approved the lift order on Friday.
“Upon coordination with this Office and submission of requirements, this is to confirm that you have substantially complied with the deficiencies/ violatons noted in the Closure Order in relation to the operation of your business,” read the order.
The Manila City government on Wednesday padlocked the Recto mall for alleged violation of some city ordinances and incomplete business permits. /muf
