MANILA, Philippines — The trough of Typhoon Hagibis, which remains outside the Philippine area of responsibility, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the eastern section of Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Friday.
Based on the 4:00 a.m. forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the trough of Hagibis will affect Caraga as well as the regions of Davao and Northern Mindanao.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Pagasa also said strong northeasterly surface wind flow and rough coastal waters (2.8 to 4.0 meters) would prevail over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon while the Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate northeast to northwest wind flow, with slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal waters.
In Mindanao, light to moderate northwest-west wind and slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal waters will prevail, according to the state weather agency.
It further said that the lowest temperature of 24.2°C was recorded at 5:50 a.m. Friday while the maximum temperature will be 32.8°C at 1:50 p.m. on the same day.
Pagasa noted that the sun rose at 5:47 a.m. this day and it is expected to set at 5:39 p.m. /kga
