Cops rescue 4 women in San Juan ‘sex den’
MANILA, Philippines — Four Filipino women were rescued on Thursday afternoon in a spa in San Juan that was allegedly used as a prostitution den.
Report from San Juan police chief Col. Jaime Santos said members of San Juan police’s Women and Children Protection Desk, San Juan City Local Social Welfare and Development Office conducted the rescue operation at a spa in Barangay Greenhills.
The victims were rescued after Police Cpl. Jayson Borillo, an undercover policeman, posed as a customer and used marked money to confirm the reported prostitution activities at the said spa.
However, police said the spa owner, Felipe Tamang Jr. and two other cohorts identified as alias Pauline and alias Douglas were still at large.
Santos told INQUIRER.net in a text message that San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora ordered the closure of the establishment after it found that the spa was operating without necessary permits.
