Today, Oct. 9, is the 104th birth anniversary of National Artist for Cinema Manuel Conde.
As a director and producer, Conde was best known for his critically acclaimed works like Ibong Adarna (1941), Si Juan Tamad (1947) and Genghis Khan (1950).
Conde died in Manila on Aug. 11, 1985, and was named a national artist in 2009.
