LUCENA CITY –– A bystander was killed and three motorists were injured in a road accident in Tayabas City on Monday night, police said.
A report from the Tayabas police said while negotiating a descending section of the road, jeepney driver Erwin Cabriga evaded hitting the vehicle in front that suddenly stopped.
He hit Rodelito Oabel, who was standing on the roadside, before crashing into an electric post in Barangay San Diego Zone 2 around 8 p.m.
He, Cabriga and two other jeepney passengers suffered injuries and were rushed to the Tayabas Community Hospital at the town center but Oabel died on the way./lzb
