Woman dies after being hit by motorcycle in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol –– A 63-year-old woman died after she was hit by a motorcycle on Monday.

Police Staff Sergeant Jason Laurden of the Jagna Police Station said Abucejo, a resident of Barangay Cantagay in Jagna town, was walking on the roadside when a motorcycle driven by Nestor Namoc bumped her.


Namoc, who was traveling from Jagna heading towards Valencia town, told the police that he fell asleep while driving his motorcycle.

Abucejo and Namoc were immediately brought to the Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital for medical attention.


Abucejo, who suffered a serious injury, was transferred to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival./lzb
