MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte may have his own Air Force One by August next year.
The Philippine Air Force recently signed a contract for the purchase of a brand-new G280 aircraft from Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. through the United States government’s foreign military sales program.
“The G280 will primarily serve as a platform to carry senior leaders and commanders in the event of a crisis situation,” Department of National Defense spokesperson Arsenio Andolong said. —Jeannette I. Andrade
