Bus bumps motorcycle, kills man, injures wife in Quezon town
LUCENA CITY—A motorcycle rider was killed while his wife was seriously injured in a collision with a bus in the town of Pagbilao, Quezon province on Sunday, Oct. 6.
Pagbilao police said Victor Romey was driving his motorcycle with his wife at the back when they were bumped accidentally by a DLTB bus on the Maharlika Highway.
The Romey couple was rushed to the Quezon Medical Center in this city but Romey died on the way. His wife is still fighting for her life at the hospital.
Investigators said the bus driver, Ricardo Romualdo Jr., was trying to overtake another vehicle which may have caused the collision.
