LPA to bring rains over Northern Luzon — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) will affect the northern section of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday.
According to Pagasa, the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the LPA.
Possible flash floods and landslides could be expected by residents in the said areas due to occasional heavy rains.
Pagasa said that as of 3 a.m., the LPA was spotted 50 kilometers East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be affected by localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa said that this will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
Temperature for the day ranges between 23.0 °C to 32.6 °C. Sunrise was recorded at 5:46 a.m. while sunset is forecasted at 5:43 p.m. /je
