4 suspected pushers of marijuana, ‘shabu’ busted in Quezon

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested a suspected peddler of marijuana and three alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) street-level pushers in Lucena City and Candelaria town in Quezon province on Saturday and Friday.

Mark Jayson Olorga, 25, was collared by anti-illegal drugs operatives after he sold 500 grams of marijuana in a sealed plastic sachet to an undercover police officer in Barangay 1 this city around 1:30 a.m. Saturday., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report.

The confiscated “weeds” was worth P25,000 based on the estimate of the Dangerous Drugs Board.

Police tagged Olorga as a major peddler of marijuana to students and out-of-school youth in the village and nearby areas.

In Candelaria, police arrested Leonardo Pantoja, 63, in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Kinatihan around 12:50 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities seized P3,000 worth of shabu from the suspect.

On Friday morning, Mary Rose Barrios and Marlon Macalinao, were also arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ibabang Dupay in this city.

The suspects yielded 1.22 grams of shabu worth P6,710 in the street market.

The suspects were all detained at the police jail and will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./lzb
