MANILA, Philippines – A thunderstorm advisory has been raised over Metro Manila and neighboring provinces by the state weather bureau on Friday afternoon.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) bulletin released at 2:22 p.m., moderate to heavy rain may persist within the next two hours in Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Rizal, and Quezon Province.
Heavy to intense rain, on the other hand, will be felt in Metro Manila.
Towns in Bulacan (San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria, Pandi, Plaridel, Bustos, Baliwag, Pulilan, San Rafael, San Ildefonso), Pampanga (Candaba, Mabalacat, Angeles, Porac, San Simon), Zambales, San Jose in Tarlac, Cavite (Bacoor Imus, Dasmariñas), Laguna (Cabuyao, Calamba, Santa Rosa), and Batangas will also experience heavy to intense rain.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said in its bulletin. /muf
