Red lightning alert stalls Naia flight, ground operations
MANILA, Philippines — Flight and ground operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport were temporarily suspended on Friday afternoon after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised a red lightning alert.
In an advisory, the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said the red lightning alert was raised at 1:23 p.m.

“The alert will be lifted as soon as Pagasa deems it safe to continue operations,” the Miaa said.
