SAN PEDRO CITY –– Police were waiting for the results of the autopsy conducted on a three-year-old girl, who was found dead near a railroad in this city.

City police Lt. Col. Zeric Soriano, Thursday, said they were able to identify the victim through her family, who had earlier reported the child missing on September 27.

On Wednesday morning, a resident found her body dumped near railroad tracks in Barangay Pacita 1 here.

The police did not initially see physical wounds that may suggest the cause of her death, as her remains had begun “decomposing” when found.
