MANILA, Philippines — Heavy to intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected over several areas in Luzon on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In an advisory released 2:34 p.m., the rain showers are expected over Metro Manila and the provinces of Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, and Bataan.
The rain showers may persist within two hours, the state weather bureau said.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said. /je
