MANILA, Philippines — It was food, and not bomb, that policemen discovered inside an unattended bag in Makati City on Wednesday afternoon.

A report from Makati police community precinct 5 said Forbes Village Security Manager called them about a suspicious abandoned bag on Buendia-Edsa northbound near Forbes Village Buendia Gate at 12:35 p.m.

Members of Makati police’s Explosives and Ordnance Division and Makati police station Tactical Operations Center responded to the area to verify the presence of explosives.

But according to Makati City police chief Col. Rogelio Simon, law enforcers found that only food was inside the abandoned bag. /kga
