Pagasa: New LPA spotted near Legazpi, Albay
MANILA, Philippines — A new low pressure area (LPA) developed inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 p.m. live weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the LPA was last spotted at 1,025 east of Legazpi, Albay.
Pagasa weather specialist Alcdzar Aurelio said that the LPA that will be moving northwest slowly, and is less likely to intensify into a tropical depression.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. /je
