Pasay City police investigation and detective management (SIDM) division head, Chief Inspector Joey Goforth revealed that the incident happened around 11 p.m., Friday, inside the Dizon Compound along Lakandula Street.

Goforth said that before the incident, the younger Balmes had figured in a heated argument with Corsame whose temper allegedly drove him to draw a .45-cal. pistol and start shooting at his unarmed foe.

The sexagenarian saw the attack and tried to help out his wounded nephew but was also shot by the suspect, who quickly ran and fled aboard his motorcycle while the victims were taken to the nearest hospital.

Police investigators were later informed that a third victim in the same shooting had been taken to the same hospital.

Lactao told the police investigators that she was inside her house when she heard gunfire nearby. She then felt blood oozing from her forehead and was taken by her live-in partner to the medical facility for treatment.

Goforth disclosed that his men recovered at least seven .45-cal. pistol empty shells at the crime scene.
