MANILA, Philippines – Two traders were gunned down Monday morning in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, police said on Tuesday.
The Roxas police identified the fatalities as Harbhajan Singh, 40, and Maria Ana Adame Brucal, 35, both residents of the said town.
Initial investigation showed that the victims were on a motorcycle from Mansalay town en route to Roxas at around 10:40a.m. when they were waylaid by the hooded suspects.
Singh died on the spot while Brucal expired at the Oriental Mindoro Southern District Hospital.
The assailants, who are being pursued by the police, sped off towards Bongabong.
Recovered from the crime scene were six spent shells and a deformed slug of a caliber .45 and two spent shells of a 9mm pistol. /gsg
