MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.4 quake was recorded off Surigao del Norte on Monday afternoon, the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake was recorded at 2:10 p.m., with its epicenter located 92 kilometers southeast of General Luna town in Surigao del Norte.
The quake, of tectonic origin, had a depth of one kilometre.
No aftershocks and damage are expected following the quake, Phivolcs said.
